Abstract: |
Two areas were investigated, one consisted of five trenches cut within the footprint of the proposed building annex; and the other consisted of two trenches cut near the entrance of the proposed car park. Trench one revealed a substantial though undated feature. Trenches two and four contained no features of archaeological significance. Trenches three and five contained a shallow, linear feature of late post-medieval date. Trench seven contained two features interpreted as inhumation burials. No dating evidence was recovered from the partially excavated burial. They were likely to date from the Anglo-Saxon period. [Au(abr)] |
