Abstract: |
The assessment identified that the scheme would not affect any known sites, though an auger survey and test pit investigations had revealed that the proposed development areas did contain regionally important sedimentary deposits dating from the late glacial period (c.12000bc to 8,300bc) and very early Post-glacial (c.8300 BC to c.4000 BC), which would be removed. The potential for unrecorded prehistoric remains was recorded, and a further programme of fieldwalking and trial trenching was recommended. [Au(adp)] |
