Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological recording was undertaken in advance of the extraction of sand and gravel. Two evaluation trenches were mechanically excavated across a sub-circular cropmark, which was shown to be modern in origin. A subsequent watching brief was carried out during the mechanical removal of the topsoil and then the subsoil across the entire site. No archaeological features or deposits were identified during this second phased of work. [Au(abr)] |
