Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were excavated in advance of a proposed single house erection. Despite the proximity of the site to the projected course of the Roman road, no evidence of any associated settlement or burial deposits was found, nor any deposits associated with the road itself. No finds of Roman date, or any other archaeologically relevant period were recovered. On the basis of these results therefore, the site had no archaeological potential. [Au(adp)] |
