Abstract: |
<summary>An evaluation was carried out in response to an application to construct a new bungalow and vicarage. The land lies close to a bloomery furnace site and a Roman road. Two trenches were excavated. The first revealed a number of ditch features containing medieval pottery; Roman pottery and slag were also found. In the second trench, a medieval ditch and a pit cut by a post-medieval post hole were revealed. The finds were similar to those from the first trench. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
