Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundations. The excavations occupied the same footprint as an earlier garage. Stones and disturbed soil found almost certainly related to the construction of the former building. The foundations were substantial, suggesting perhaps an earlier building which was subsequently reused as garage without removing its foundations, though no dating evidence was found. [Au(abr)] |
