Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a site formerly occupied by a wing of the Homerton Hospital. Palaeolithic flint artefacts and a Roman sarcophagus had been recorded in the surrounding area, although no finds were known in the immediate vicinity. Five trenches were excavated, and no finds or features of archaeological significance were revealed. An undated pit sealed by ploughsoil was recorded. It was concluded that no further work would be necessary.[AIP] |
