Abstract: |
A number of features were exposed and investigated during the evaluation, dated as prehistoric through to post-medieval. These features were quite widely spread over the 13ha site but included two slight concentrations of activity, one of which may have formed part of a field system. The finds from the various features indicated that the main period of activity occurred during the Bronze or Iron Age, but various artefacts may have been Neolithic. In addition, a fragment of early Anglo-Saxon brooch was recovered as a stray find. [Au] |
