Abstract: |
The assessment identified a network of dykes, still in use for drainage today, which may have been 12th century in origin. The surrounding land was used for cultivation and many former dykes were infilled. The significance of this property lay in the fact that it had changed little during the last two hundred years, making it an important resource for future research into the history of the Brede Valley.[Au(abr)] |
