Abstract: |
Five trial trenches measuring 12m, 24m, 17m, 8 and 11m by 1.8m were excavated across the site prior to proposed development as an archaeological evaluation. This evaluation was principally undertaken to test the presence or otherwide of a (doubtful) Neolithic barrow, recorded in the 1920's. No evidence of human activity earlier than the 19th century was discovered during the excavations. [Au(adp)] |
