Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken at the proposed site of a housing development. Bronze age timber structures had been excavated nearby, in an area of peat deposits. The course of a medieval flood defence was thought to pass through the site. During the evaluation, deposits of alluvial silts and clays, peat and organic clay were recorded. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP] |
