Abstract: |
The site lay within a wider area of known prehistoric and Roman settlement, although the study area itself was not known to hold evidence for this. The site was concerned with medieval and post-medieval land enclosure and field boundaries, although none were extant. A WWII heavy anti-aircraft battery was located in the area. Sewage workings prior to the study were thought to have impacted on the archaeology of the area. [Au(abr)] |
