Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken at the proposed site of a technology block at a school. A late bronze age site lay 900m to the west, whilst flints of mesolithic to bronze age date and Roman material had been found to the south. A medieval village had lain nearby. During the evaluation a small pit, possibly prehistoric, was found and burnt and struck flint was recovered. A pond of unknown date was also recorded. It was concluded that further work would perhaps be necessary. [Au(adp)] |
