Abstract: |
The assessment was undertaken on land within the City of Worcester. It showed that, while very little archaeological work had been undertaken within the study area, it potentially contained a variety of significanct archaeological deposits. These included possible Roman iron-working remains, traces of the medieval and later defences of the city, the site of a former church and river crossing, and the potential for paleoenvironmental studies over waterlogged areas.
