Abstract: |
A review of documentary, geological, archival and cartographic sources has indicated that the site has limited archaeological potential. The historical and cartographic evidence indicates that the site appears to have been on the periphery of local development and occupied by fields for the majority of history. Development appears to have only occurred during the early 20th century. The area has previously been developed during the construction of two factories. It was recommend that archaeological observation of geotechnical investigations on the site would now be the best means to ascertain the potential of the archaeological remains existing on site.
