Abstract: |
Nine evaluation trenches were excavated to locate the medieval moat and the medieval and post-medieval hall. The moat contained 17th century finds but was known to have been regularly cleaned. A section of wall possibly relating to the hall was found dating to around 1840. Much of the earlier evidence may have been removed by the construction of drains and culverts on the site. [Au(abr)] |
