Abstract: |
The assessment established that the study area had a low potential for prehistoric and Roman remains to survive. Topographically the area most likely during the prehistoric period would have been the shelf on the ridge on which the present settlement of Church Town stands. There was some evidence of medieval burgage plots to have existed along the north siade of Church Lane. However, there was no evidence that the proposed development area was used for anything other than agricultural land during the medieval period and later.[Au(abr)] |
