Abstract: |
A watching brief during ground reduction for an outdoor riding arena encountered a large ditch and associated bank, tentatively dated to the prehistoric period. Three Roman potsherds were recorded, as well as several ditches forming enclosures or paddocks, demonstrating three phases of medieval activity from the 11th to 13th centuries. [Au(abr)] |
