Abstract:
An archaeological excavation was carried out on three area of the site. Area 1 excavated a possible early post-medieval mud and stud cottage, the evidence recovered though identified the feature as the base of a hay rick or the site of a hovel or cote. Area 2 revealed evidence of a 16th-17th century timber building and evidence of metal smelting. Area 3 was targeted on an area of possible brickmaking two brick kilns or clamps were identified.
