Abstract: |
The footings of the Lock Keepers cottage were partially revealed during the excavation of the new foundation trenches. This clearly showed three types of footing around the building, which confirmed the development of the structure. The Guard House was altered in the late 1800s and its orientation moved to an east to west direction. Evidence of this move was seen in the different styles of construction used in the foundations of the building. [Au(abr)] |
