Abstract: |
The study showed that the area contained remains of Iron Age and Romano-British settlement, together with associated field-systems. The evidence related directly to a wider pattern of occupation of the River Nene floodplain. Evidence from the Early-Middle Saxon period was limited to a small quantity of contemporary pottery, and all later activity could be seen as agricultural.[Au] |
