Abstract: |
<summary>Evaluation involving test-pitting prior to work related to the Jubilee Line extension revealed several phases of Roman occupation. Earlier clay and timber buildings were replaced by a stone building. Pottery from Spain, France, England and Italy, ranging in date from 1st to 2nd century, was recovered. Some medieval dumping layers were found, but no actual features. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
