Abstract:		 A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation trenches for a garage and an extension to a house. A small burnt area, apparently of recent date, was noted, and modern pottery was recovered. A pit containing a large Roman tile, Roman pottery, a piece of slag and a nail was also recorded. [AIP]
