Abstract: |
Archaeological recording work was undertaken during works to dismantle the Ice House to the north of the A608, Annesley. These works were underaken as part of the works for the upgrading of the A608. An intermittent watching brief was maintained during the dismantling of the ice-house and the arch and mound to the east of the ice-house were recorded. The ice-house was succesfully dismantled; the mound was found to be part of a recent brick construction in connection with a cast-iron water pipe and the arch was part of a recent brick-lined culvert.
