Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken following the submission of a planning application for development. Twenty-two trial trenches were excavated. Five trenches contained archaeological features in the form of pits, postholes, gullies and ditches. The two ditches in trench 10 dated to the Roman period, whilst a gully in trench 12 also had a Roman date. The remaining features were undated but there was a strong possibility that the other features in trenches 12 and 13 also had a Roman date. [Au(adp)] |
