Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for an extension to a hotel. The development was situated to the south-east of a Grade II Listed early 16th century timber-framed building, which had originally been surrounded by a moat. The line of a major Roman road lay in the immediate vicinity. During the watching brief, no archaeological features were identified. [AIP] |
