Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment, consisting of the excavation of three 10m by 2m trenches, was undertaken across the site in order to fulfil a condition upon planning consent for the residential development of the site. This revealed the presence of a gravel terrace, archaeological deposits consisting of a linear ditch and three post holes of possible Bronze Age date and significant truncation of deposits by modern activity.
