Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a development of shops with flats, which lay within an Archaeological Priority Area. It was considered possible that remains of the medieval village of Willesden could have survived beneath previous development. During the evaluation, a brick-built drain and a cobbled surface of 18th-19th century date were revealed and 18th-19th century pottery and fragments of ceramic building material were recovered. No evidence of medieval activity was observed. [AIP] |
