Abstract: |
An evaluation and watching brief was carried out during the construction of a wind farm. Most of the trenches excavated revealed no archaeological remains, except for a linear sandstone feature close to the top of Whittle Hill, possibly acting as a boundary marker. This was sealed by peat and thought to be of prehistoric date. This prompted a watching brief, where no archaeological features were recorded. [Au(abr)] |
