Abstract: |
A geophysical survey confirmed the presence (previously suggested by cropmarks) of three probable enclosures in the south-east corner of the site and there was tentative evidence for occupational activity within at least one of these enclosures. A trackway that the cropmark evidence suggested continued across the site and was partially identified at the northern end of the site. Given the prevailing soils and geology, it was not clear whether the cropmark and geophysical evidence reliably indicated the real level of archaeological activity of this site. [Au(adp)] |
