Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment of the proposed development of land between Conging Street and High Street, Horncastle, identified a number of archaeological sites within the locale including evidence of prehistoric activity, occupation of the site of Horncastle in the Roman period and small quantities of Anglo-Saxon material. Medieval and later activity was largely represented by the current structure of the town. [AIP] |
