Abstract: |
A previous assessment established the presence of five Bronze Age barrows, Iron Age pottery, a Roman road, a post-medieval railway, findspots and one undated linear feature within the Study Area. The trial trenches identified ten archaeological features in seven trenches concentrated to the east of the site. These comprised a single Early Bronze Age ditch, two Early/ Middle Iron Age ditches and a quarry pit. In addition four undated ditches and a gully were also recorded.[Au(abr)] |
