Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of geological trial holes in connection with a proposed new footbridge over the River Irthing, associated with the Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail. The holes were excavated immediately south of the Scheduled area around a Roman bridge at Willowford. During the watching brief, no archaeological features were observed. [AIP] |
