Abstract: |
Following the completion of an evaluation report in May 1994 (incorporating the results of field walking, magnetometry and trial excavation), a watching brief was set over the site by the Community Archaeologist for North Kesteven. It also identified a broad zone where archaeological remains would be preserved in situ. The watching brief was not possible because the archaeologist was unable to keep pace with the volume of soil being removed in advance of construction. As a result only a limited range of data was collected which was considered unlikely to be of great value in furthering a better understanding of the archaeology present. [Au(adp)] |
