Abstract: |
<summary>The watching brief determined that no features relating to the Roman site nearby were present along the road corridor; neither were any other archaeological features uncovered. A small quantity of worked flint and a few sherds of late medieval Potterspury Type ware pottery were collected following topsoil-stripping. Liaison with local metal-detectorists led to the recovery of two Saxon faceted pins and a lead {italon}ampulla{italoff} (pilgrim's flask) of probable late medieval date. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
