Abstract: |
The site was known as Gains Castle, a 13th century ringwork and bailey. The excavation reached a maximum of 300mm where the path crossed the top of the bank. The excavation did not appear to reach the old ground surface beneath the bank. No finds were recovered. [Au(adp)] |
