Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out on Meadowbank, situated on the north bank of the River Thames, close to Marble Hill Park (a Listed Historic Park). Machine excavated trenches revealed three animal burials, probably dating from around the turn of the century, and modern linear features. Small quantities of worked (14 pieces) and burnt (6 pieces) flint were also recovered, but no prehistoric activity was identified. Attributes of the worked flint assemblage suggested a possible Later Mesolithic date. [Au(adp)] |
