Abstract: |
The evaluation trenches revealed a complex sequence of features including stone walls, soil and rubble layers plus part of a cobbled road or pathway. The majority of these features related to the 18th and 19th century development and use of the site and included a series of well preserved sandstone walls and associated deposits indicating several phases of building and redevelopment associated with mixed industrial activity.
