Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of an extension within the grounds of a school, which lay on the periphery of a medieval suburb of Windsor. A large feature containing roof tile, animal bone and a sherd of medieval pottery was revealed. This was probably of post-medieval date, and may have been an extensive pit or a section of a boundary ditch or moat. It was concluded that the development posed a minimal threat to archaeological remains. [AIP] |
