Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of the proposed site of an office development within an Area of Archaeological Potential was undertaken. Bronze age pottery had been found nearby, whilst Roman cremations, burials and associated artefacts had been excavated at several sites. Two medieval monasteries lay to the west. It was concluded that the site had potential for Roman remains and that an evaluation would be necessary. [AIP] |
