Abstract: |
The site was thought to have a low archaeological potential for all past periods of human activity. In particular on the basis of all available evidence the site was not considered likely to contain remains relating to London's Civil War defences or to a plague pit of 1665. The survival of archaeological deposits on the site was in general not thought to have been significantly compromised by previous development, except on the Goswell Road frontage where late 19th century basements occured.
