Abstract:
A number of anomalies of archaeological interest were recorded by a gradiometer survey. They mainly comprised ditch type anomalies that appeared to relate to field systems and possible enclosures. No clear pattern emerged from the data to suggest that settlement remains were present. However, there was some evidence to suggest that ploughing could have damaged or destroyed archaeological deposits. There were indications that ridge and furrow cultivation occurred in the fields along the route of the proposed road corridor. [Au(abr)]
