Abstract: |
An evaluation of the state of desiccation of deposits associated with Iron Age enclosures at Sutton Common was undertaken. The two enclosures contained wooden remains and other organic materials and it was shown that recent exposure to aerobic conditions had accelerated their decay. Due to the advanced extent of decay it was found that re-wetting the site was no longer feasible. [AIP] |
