Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for a new building and associated car parking. The watching brief revealed no archaeological features either within the limited areas of natural sands and gravels exposed during topsoil stripping for the car parks or in the sections exposed in foundation and drain trenches. There was some evidence for landscaping associated with recent building work, including a substantial area of infilling around an existing pond in the north-east corner of the site. No finds other than modern material was recovered. [Au(abr)] |
