Abstract: |
The evaluation indicated that natural ground within the site occurred at approx. 0.4 metres below the present ground level. Although residual medieval pottery had been found within the later (19th century) contexts, no evidence had been found for the survival of features or stratified material dating to the medieval or early post-medieval periods. It was likely that such material had been lost due to subsequent disturbance of the site within the post-medieval period such as garden cultivation or levelling for building works. [Au(adp)] |
