Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief undertaken during the course of excavation for a new swimming pool found a drain not related to the present house. The drain may have indicated the presence of an earlier building on the site just to the north-west of the present building. This earlier building would have been fronted onto Rectory Road as opposed to being positioned in the angle of Rectory Road and Aston Street as at present. [Au] |
