Abstract:		 A study of map and database evidence relating to Letchworth indicated that there was a low probability of encountering finds and features of prehistoric and Iron Age date. The risk increased to low to moderate for the Roman and medieval periods, with a high risk of encountering archaeological remains dating to the post-medieval and modern periods. [Au(abr)]
