Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of test pits at the site of an extension to a public house, within an Archaeological Priority Zone. The presumed route of a Roman road passed nearby. Post-medieval clay pipe, pottery and roof tile fragments were recovered, and the remains of two 20th century buildings with a possible related drain were recorded. [AIP] |
