Abstract:
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken in response to a planning condition on the construction of four detached houses with garages and access road. The assessment showed that the lack of any archaeological or settlement evidence in the immediate area of the site precluded, in the opinion of the authors, any further archaeological investigations and the archaeological condition attached to the planning consent should been discharged.
