Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed a sequence of undated, medieval and post-medieval deposits. Undated layers included dumped deposits, perhaps laid to raise the ground level, and subsoil towards the southern end of the site. A medieval subsoil was located towards the rear of the site that had subsequently been cut by a post-medieval pit containing demolition material. Finds included medieval and later pottery, tile and modern glass. [Au(abr)] |
